2. Functions/Services of the Department 1. To prepare the development of plan of various wards as per the provisions of Section 23-31 of M.R. & T.P. Act, 1966.
2. To modify the development plan as per the provisions of Sectrion 37 of M.R.& T.P. Act, 1966.
3. To implement the Development Plan- Acquisition area
4. To acquire the various public purpose reservations and roads.
5. To publish the development plan, to make available the provisions of Development Plan to the citizens (to make available the D.P. Remarks.)
6. To sanction the utilization of T.D.R. as per the provisions of Reg.34 read with Appendix VII of D.C. Reg. 1991.
7. To maintain the list of heritage structures/ precincts and monitor the heritage structures repairs and reconstruction.- Dy.M.A.(D.P.)
8. To assist the Heritage Committee for scrutinizing the proposals of repairs and reconstruction of heritage structures - Dy.M.A.(D.P.)
9. To grant Realignment of D.P. Roads.
10. To prepare Town Planning Schemes and to implement the same.
11. To issue Town Planning Remarks.
12. To undertake the variation of Town Planning Schemes.
13. To assist the High Rise Committee for scrutinizing the proposals of High Rise Buildings.
14. To assist the Monitoring Committee for monitoring the development/redevelopment of Textile mills land.
15. To formulate policies regarding the development plan related issues.
16. To scrutinize & approval of Building plans.
17. To grant approvals u/Sec.342 for various repairs / reconstruction.
18. To Issuance of Survey records.
