This is version 1.1 of the data and includes information on off-street parking areas under the jurisdiction of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST).

It contains 3 CSV files - one for MCGM owned parking lots or areas; one for BEST owned parking lots or areas, and one containing parking charges for BEST (fixed charges) and MCGM (by price categories A, B, C as per Mumbai Parking Policy). 

Note: In case the parking lot or area is not assigned to a private operator, and MCGM is identified as the operator, then parking in that lot or area is likely to be free for a limited and fixed duration.

Given below are the data fields included in the CSV files. Please note that each field may not not included in each CSV. 

sr_no: The serial number key for the sheet.

agency: Identifies the specific agency for which information is provided in any particular row. E.g. MCGM or BEST. 

gis_id: Unique ID that the agency uses to to characterise the location of parking lot or area. E.g. BEST Depot in A ward at Colaba has code AD001.

ward: The municipal ward that has jurisdiction over the particular parking lot or area.

name: Name of the parking lot or area. If it doesn't have a name, it can be derived from developer name, or owner name or area name. E.g Off Street parking lot managed by Lodha at Altamount road has name - Lodha Altamount Road.

geo_lat: Latitude position of parking lot or area.

geo_long: Longitude position of parking lot or area.

address: Full address of the parking lot or area.

structure_type: The type of structure through which parking is provided. For e.g. surface/ underground/ multi-storey.

access_type: The mode of access to the parking lot or area. If parking lot or area is underground or multi-storey, then how do vehicles enter and navigate to their parking spot, e.g. ramp or elevator. Else "Surface".

owner: The agency, entity, or orgnaisation that owns or manages the property on which the parking lot or area is located.

status: The current operational status of the parking lot or area. For e.g. operational/ non-operational. v1.0 has data on currently operational parking lots and areas. Future versions may provide data on upcoming parking locations.

operator: The private agency given a contract to operate the parking lot or area.

sub_type: Identifies the sub_type of parking lot or area. For e.g. for BEST parking locations, sub_type is either "Depot" or "Terminal".

free_parking: If parking lot or area allows free parking for vehicles (Y/N). Note if entry is "Y" then it is usually temporary and for a fixed duration. Price for parking, as per price_category identified in the adjacent column, will be implemented once a private operator is assigned to the parking lot or area.

price_category: The category of parking price or charge assigned to the parking lot or area, as per the Mumbai Parking Policy. E.g. A, B, C. Price categories are applicable only for MCGM owned parking lots or areas.

time_duration: Identifies the duration of time for which a particular parking price or charge is applicable at a given parking lot or area. E.g. Upto 1 hr, 1- 3 hours, Monthly (day), Monthly (night) and so on. 

vehicle_type: Identifies the type of vehicle for which a particular parking price or charge is applicable at a given parking lot or area. E.g. 3/4 W, 2W, Truck, Auto/Taxi, PT (public transport, particularly buses)

price_inr: Identifies the exact parking price or charge in Indian rupees against price_category across different time_durations for different vehilce_types applicable at a parking lot or area operated by MCGM and BEST.

capacity_2W: Capacity of 2 wheelers that a parking lot or area can accomodate i.e. the no. of parking bays available for 2 wheelers at a parking lot or area. Note that in several parking lots or areas, separate bays for 2 wheelers may not be marked. This does not mean that 2 wheelers cannot park at these lots or areas. In this version (v1.1), 2 wheeler parking is allowed at all locations, and in cases where exact numbers are not available, entries under capacity_2W are written as "ALLOWED". 

capacity_4W_LMV: Capacity of 4 wheelers (cars, SUVs) that a parking lot or area can accomodate i.e. the no. of parking bays available for 4 wheelers at a parking lot or area. For BEST depots/ terminals entries under capacity_4W_LMV are written as "ALLOWED", since BEST bay markings are for HMVs and exact numbers of 4 wheeler capacity is not available.

capacity_4W_LCV: Capacity of 4 wheeler commercial & goods vehicles that a parking lot or area can accomodate i.e. the no. of parking bays available for 4 wheers at a parking lot or area. For BEST depots/ terminals entries under capacity_4W_LCV are written as "ALLOWED", since BEST bay markings are for HMVs and exact numbers of 4 wheeler capacity is not available.

capacity_HMV: Capacity of heavy motor vehicles or HMVs (buses, trucks) that a parking lot or area can accomodate i.e. the no. of parking bays available for HMVs at a parking lot or area. 

capacity_HMV_day: In day shift, capacity of heavy motor vehicles or HMVs (buses, trucks) that a parking lot or area can accomodate i.e. the no. of parking bays available for HMVs at a parking lot or area. 

capacity_HMV_night: In night shift, capacity of heavy motor vehicles or HMVs (buses, trucks) that a parking lot or area can accomodate i.e. the no. of parking bays available for HMVs at a parking lot or area. 

start_time: The time from which parking lot or area is open for vehicles to park.

end_time: The time after which entry to the parking lot or area is closed.

start_time_day: In day shift, the time from which parking lot or area is open for vehicles to park.

end_time_day: In day shift, the time after which entry to the parking lot or area is closed.

start_time_night: In night shift, the time from which parking lot or area is open for vehicles to park.

end_time_night: In night shift, the time after which entry to the parking lot or area is closed.

handicap_reservation: If the parking lot or area has parking bays reserved for vehicles with handicapped occupants (Y/N).

facilities_CCTV: If the parking lot or area has CCTV surveillance (Y/N).

facilities_sensors: If parking lot or area has sensors for parking bay occupancy and vacancy (Y/N).

facilities_toilets: If parking lot or area provides toilets for customers (Y/N).

facilities_secguard: If parking lot or area has security guard(s) (Y/N).

payment_mode: The mode of payment(s) accepted at a parking lot or area. For e.g. "cash, card" for parking lots and areas where both modes are accepted.
